MEET THE TEAM
In addition to the redevelopment of its legacy oil and gas fields utilizing new exploration and development technology, Chevron is focused on the exploration and development of new unconventional resource plays. The pursuit of these resource plays is made possible by applying state-of-the-art new exploration and development technologies, such as long lateral horizontal drilling, advanced seismic techniques and multistage hydraulic fracture technologies.
The company has significant land positions and active programs in the Williston Basin (Bakken) of North Dakota, the Permian Basin of West Texas, Eagle Ford shale of South Texas and the Appalachian Basin (Marcellus) in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Hunt has a new ventures exploration team whose goal is to identify and gain early entry into new resource plays.
